Summary

Stable Sea Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team and help build the infrastructure powering the future of cross-border payments and stablecoin treasury management. As a core engineer, you'll be designing and implementing performant, secure, and scalable backend services that interact with traditional financial systems as well as tokenized assets and blockchain networks like Stellar, Polygon, Starknet, and others.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, shipping quickly in fast-moving environments, and building production-grade financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and microservices using Golang.
• Integrate with public and permissioned blockchains to support stablecoin transactions and cross-chain interoperability.
• Build and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability, with a strong focus on transaction integrity and security.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and compliance teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Continuously monitor, debug, and improve system performance in production environments.
• Contribute to DevOps and deployment processes (CI/CD, observability, testing pipelines).

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience, ideally in a fintech, payments, or blockchain-related company.
• Proficiency in Golang (or strong experience in similar languages and willingness to learn Go quickly).
• Hands-on experience building with or integrating into blockchain networks (e.g., Stellar, Polygon, Starknet, Ethereum, Solana, etc.).
• Deep understanding of system design, API design, database schema design, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience working with SQL or similar relational databases.
• Solid understanding of security and compliance considerations in financial applications (encryption, KYC/KYB, auditing).
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a bias for action.

Nice to Have

• Experience with stablecoins and on/off-ramp services.
• Familiarity with Layer 2 networks and smart contract design patterns.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience deploying to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) using containers or serverless.
• Exposure to tools like Terraform, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
