Full-time
For millions of teams working in dozens of industries, day-to-day business gets done on the phone. So why — despite the huge leaps we've taken in design and usability — does most business phone software still look, feel, and act like it was born in the 90s? Quo is changing that.
We’re a new type of business phone with a mission to help people communicate better and be more productive.
We’re backed by Y Combinator and some of the best venture firms around including Tiger Global, Craft Ventures, Slow Ventures, and others. We take pride in providing an exceptional customer experience and a product people love, which is why we’re excited that our customers have rated us the #1 VoIP Provider on G2.
Quo is the modern, sophisticated answer to the clunky, outdated phone systems that have been slowing down businesses for years. With thousands of happy customers and several rounds of funding in just five years, it's safe to say we're onto something big.
About the role
Do you love uncovering edge cases, thinking critically about risk, and shaping how teams build quality into their products? At Quo, we’ve reimagined the QA role: Quality Ambassadors aren’t the ones validating every change — we’re the ones defining how quality happens across squads. Developers own testing; we enable them to do it well.
As part of our team, you’ll provide the strategy, structure, and coaching that ensures every release is robust, reliable, and delightful for our customers.
Some of the things you’ll do:
- Act as a vocal champion for quality, embedding it into every stage of the development lifecycle
- Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering early to analyze requirements and surface risks
- Define test strategies and craft thoughtful test plans that cover both happy paths and tricky edge cases
- Lead exploratory testing sessions and integration days to uncover gaps automated tests might miss
- Guide squads in establishing and improving their own testing practices
- Triage, analyze, and escalate customer-reported issues, identifying trends and opportunities for prevention
- Provide actionable, data-driven insights through quality reporting and risk analysis
- Collaborate with Automation Engineers to shape tools and infrastructure that empower dev-owned testing
About you
- 3+ years of QA engineering experience, in fast-paced product environments
- Strong analytical skills with a talent for breaking down complex problems
- Passionate about intuitive, reliable software that “just works”
- Known for your attention to detail — others call you a perfectionist, and you wear it proudly
- Comfortable facilitating discussions, influencing without authority, and coaching others on testing best practices
- Highly motivated self-starter who thrives under pressure and deadlines
- Excited by the pace of shipping interactively and quickly, and skilled at balancing speed with quality
- Curious about new technologies and comfortable leveraging AI to boost testing, risk analysis, and overall quality practices
- Experience with cross-browser and mobile device testing
- Experience with Playwright or other automation tools
- Familiarity with Chrome DevTools or API testing
- Computer science background or proficient with a programming language
