Heartbeat Health is seeking a Director of IT & Security to join our team!
About the Role
- Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
- Assist senior leadership in determining long-term direction of IT organization
- Manage Help Desk Operations: Provide IT support to remote employees across the country; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity; and manage the helpdesk system and ensure timely resolution of tickets.
- Manage company-wide software licensing, installations, and updates.
- Oversee procurement, distribution, and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for remote staff.
- Help design and deliver on device management/MDM across workforce’s machines
- Partner with HR, and other parts of the organization, to on-board and off-board contractors and employees
- Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the help desk, striving for increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide training to employees & contractors on IT policies, best practices, and security protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest remote work technologies and trends to improve company operations.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for software, hardware, and IT service needs.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage implementation of VPN, MDM, and other endpoint monitoring tools, analyze device performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal performance across multiple OSs and platforms
- Implement and enforce endpoint network security best practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure workforce compliance with industry standards and regulations in cooperation with Engineering and Security/Compliance.
- Control budget and report on IT expenditures: Determine future resource requirements for the IT organization
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology field with increasing roles and responsibilities
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing an information technology team
- Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
- Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threatsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to switch context quickly
- Outstanding communication abilities; strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a broad base of customers, suppliers, clinicians, and sales force personnel
- Understanding of basic security principles including password requirements, SSO implementation, MFA, and more
- Experience with the Heartbeat IT stack: Rippling, SentinelOne is a plus
- Knowledge of the healthcare space including HIPAA and others is a plus
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like HITRUST and SOC2 is a plus
